Cambodian Organic Rice
Cambodian Organic White Jasmine Rice
It is a new range of niche products from AMRU since 2014 through our organic farming partnership with farmer communities in Preah Vihear province. It is cultivated in rain fed fertile soil, free from chemicals, pesticides and commercial fertilizers. The single annual crop is harvested between July to November. Upon harvesting, the paddy is milled following proper organic regulations and milled rice is vacuum packed to retain its nutritional aspect.

Cambodian organic long grain brown rice
Health benefits of brown rice include better functioning of cardiovascular system, digestive system, brain and nervous system. It is loaded with powerful antioxidants which provide relief from a range of ailments such as hypertension, unhealthy levels of cholesterol, stress, mental depression and skin disorders. High nutritional content in brown rice proves effective in various medical conditions such as cancer, obesity, diabetes, neurodegenerative disorders and insomnia. It has anti-depressant properties and helps maintain healthy bones and stronger immune system. Brown rice is an unrefined and unpolished whole grain which is produced by just removing the surrounding hull of the rice kernel. Brown rice grain retains its nutrient-dense bran and germ layer. It is chewier as compared to white rice and has a nutty flavor.
Cambodian Long grain jasmine rice
A wet season crop, it’s popular among local and international consumers because of its appearance and cooking texture coupled with a natural aroma. The main harvest season is October to December and Cambodia’s Jasmine has been awarded 3 consecutive years as World Best Rice in 2012/2013/2014. Usually shipped starting from November every year, the company procures it through contract farming and semi-processed grains from Preah Vihear, Kampong Chan, Battambang, Pursat, Kampong Speu and Prey Veng.
Cambodian Long grain fragrant rice
It is also known as Sen Kra Ob Rice and possesses a natural fragrance with smooth and soft texture. This variety is less sensitive to sunlight and can be planted in any generally irrigated areas with main harvest time in Feb-April and July-Sep. It also is a perfect grain for those who like a soft but chewy scented rice and is especially good for fried rice dishes.
Cambodian long grain white rice
A dry-season crop, it is harvested twice a year and is mostly grown around the Tonle Sap and Mekong Rivers. Though the grain tastes harder than Fragrant variety, it has generally a softer texture than similar varieties from Vietnam or Thailand.
Cambodian Neang Khun rice
It’s a very specific Cambodian variety grown mostly in Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, and Siem Reap. The grain is little shorter and smaller and some experts also categorize it under the Fragrant type.
